The main task of the COMPAIR GREENflow Control® control unit is to determine the optimum time for a filter change within the GREENflow filter system. This is used as an innovative air recirculation solution in downdraft recirculation systems, which also include hob fans. The control unit can be retrofitted and is connected directly to the GREENflow filter box, which contains the high-performance OMEGA filters. Regardless of the service life, the filter load is checked and classified based on the cooking behaviour. A signal tone when the fan is switched on and off indicates in three stages whether the filters need to be regenerated or replaced. In levels 2 and 3, the signal also sounds every 5 minutes or every 5 seconds while the fan is in operation. The intervals are used to acoustically emphasise the urgency of the change. The control unit allows up to four filter boxes to be used at the same time, which significantly increases the running time. When the filters are removed, the control unit is automatically reset via the integrated light sensor.
