The COMPAIR® window contact switch cable system enables efficient exhaust air control in the event that there is an open fireplace in the room in addition to the extractor bonnet. This includes stoves and fireplaces, for example. The two-part magnetic contact switch is attached directly to the window frame and to the window sash to detect whether the window is open or closed. The connection to the safety switch is made via a sensor cable, which is 6 metres long, leaving plenty of scope for installation. This connection means that the extractor bonnet can only be operated when the window is open. This prevents exhaust fumes from active fireplaces from entering the room. Other important features of the cable exhaust air control include an integrated cable breakage monitor and the safety switch in the form of a safety bracket that is firmly screwed to the switch.
